Our beliefs

We believe in simplicity. In craftsmanship. In the fusion of form and function. In elegant minimalism. We believe in the demise of the unnecessary. The farewell to glowing buttons, blinking displays and useless features. We believe in sound, but renounce the myth that great sound only stems from big black boxes in symmetrical formation.

Our design

We design to improve homes. Not to be a necessary evil. We design to stand out, but not like a sore thumb. We design to blur the lines between furniture and sound systems by applying the aesthetics of the Scandinavian heritage to our design thinking.

Our goal

To change the image of the sound system as an alien in your living room and empower you to reclaim your home. We aim to make technology accessible - to give it a more human face. We want to create a sound source that will be a positive addition to the room instead of trying to take it over.

Our logo

The nightingale in the logo refers to the Danish poet Hans Christian Andersen's "The Nightingale" which tells the story of a nightingale that revives a dying emperor with its beautiful song. Libratone is all about freedom and purity of sound.
