Pulling sound out of thin air
CD's are relics of a time past. Docking stations are heading the
same way. Today we pull music out of the thin air. Using Apple's
AirPlay technology you're able to stream your audio wirelessly to
your Libratone Lounge or Libratone Live. Freedom of movement,
freedom of choice.
How, when, what?
AirPlay is a wireless protocol designed by Apple to transmit
audio and video instantly from source to source within a WiFi
network. You can stream from iTunes - both on Mac and PC - or you
can use your iOS devices: iPad, iPhone or iPod touch. This means
that you have your entire music and movie library in the palm of
your hand, ready to be set free.
If you fear for the sound quality - don't. AirPlay uses a
technology called Apple Lossless to ensure that every little note
and nuance transfers perfectly.
Libratone and AirPlay
AirPlaying your audio with Libratone Live and Lounge is really
quite simple. Once the sound system is setup (watch instructional
video here),
all you have to do is look for the AirPlay icon on your sound
source (computer or iOS device), click it and choose Libratone as
your speaker.
If you have more than one Libratone product, you can stream to
them all simultaneously to fill your entire home with sound. All
you need is a computer with iTunes and you're ready. Simply choose
which units you wish to activate and let the music flow.
